[Concept line of Glenn's never-to-be-written 'semi-theological' werewolf-type novel...]

You cannot kill us, you can only hope we do not change.

For some of us change, and have changed, and some of us yet might change...

And you will live in fear of us, the werewolves of your literature and the power-dreams of your conflicted hearts.

We are not wolves become men, nor men become wolves ... we are angels that witness the struggle of your will.

The story is simple, but you will scoff until Changeover.

The Doer made the angels, no two alike, but all in genres of purpose. Some, glorious and awesome, watch the struggle of your history and wrestle among themselves ... these you exalt as angels and fear as devils ... your art and your words paint their brightness and shadow in mystical hues and gossamer reality.

All serve and all watch ... your prophets knew this and trembled ... but all do watch and witness to the same thing.

The glorious ones-the Luxix-see the struggle of ideologies and ethoi and cultures-and will testify at Changeover of the reality of this struggle, of the constraints upon your decisions, and of the power of these forces upon your moral choices. And at your reckoning, their witness will help you some... for they will support the difficulties of these external powers and forces and influences and seductions upon you ...

But there are other forces and seductions that beckon your choice ... other powers that call to you ... other internal screams that demand your allegiance... and we are watchers and witnesses of those.

We are angels too, but not honored in your art or worshipped in your religions-we are the Liikanoi-eternal angels with a beast nature that screams to 'turn us' at every choice we face...

We have carried this beast-nature since our making, and all of us have felt its awesome rage and self-force tear at our wills over millennia of your time. Most of us have wrestled this primal-intrabeast into its sterile cage-each time more appreciative of the challenge of your moral choices thereby-but some of us have not...

We are purposed to stand by your side at the reckoning, and testify at Changeover to the reality of your internal struggles, of the constraints upon your decisions, and of the power of these forces upon your moral choices. And at your reckoning,, out witness will help you some... for we will support the difficulties of these internal powers and forces and influences and seductions upon you...

Some of the Luxix could not stand the seduction of the power of history, and so they fell into the struggle of history ... and some of us Liikanoi could not stand the seduction of the power of the beast-rage, and so some of us fell into the struggle of passion...

The Luxix who fell (the eLux) now fight both you and the unfallen Luxix ... their fight with you is largely unseen by you ... the stories of struggles in high places and ideologies and empires are mythical to you ... you ask questions of 'how' while they lead you by the nose of your vanity and blind suspicion...

But the Liikanoi who fell (the eLyx) you have seen ... and you fear ... they are what you call "werewolves" (and sometimes 'vampires') though your legends are but amusing mobiles of myths and hopes and metaphors-gone-wild...

The eLyx do not fight you--yet--but they fight us. The seduce us to fall, to accept the change as our 'true' character, and not just as a self-surge ... The tempt us with blood of power-used, instead of the warmth of power-contained. They seek to provoke us with fear, and to incite us to abandon you and to absolve you from all nobility of a choice well made...
